Toolbar
The toolbar contains buttons that are shortcuts to the most frequently used commands. The display of the toolbar can be toggled in the View menu.
The following table lists commands that are available on the toolbar:

Add | Displays the Add Files dialog, which allows you to add one or more files to the
upper pane.
Click the arrow to open a menu so that you can add one or more folders to the upper pane by using the Add Folder dialog. If you want to exclude all files and subfolders in the selected folder from processing, deselect the Include subfolders option in the Add Folder dialog. |

Remove | Removes the selected items from the list in the upper pane.
Click the arrow to open a menu so that you can remove all listed items. Before the items are removed, you are asked to confirm the operation. You can change this behavior in the settings of WinContig. NOTE: To delete an item from your disk, use the standard deletion procedures for your operating system. |

Properties | Displays the properties of the selected items. | ALT+ENTER | |
Fragments | Displays the Fragments dialog, which shows additional information about the selected files, including the size and the number of fragments the files consist of. | ||
Disk zone | Displays the Disk zone dialog, which enables you to specify into which zone of the disk the
selected items should be placed. Click the arrow to open a menu so that you can directly select a disk zone. |

Copy to upper pane | Copies the selected files from the lower pane to the upper pane. This is useful if you want to add single files to an open profile. | ||
Filter | Displays the Filter dialog, which allows you to select which files to process and which files to skip. | ||
Open profile | Closes the current profile, if one is open, and opens an existing profile.
If the current profile has been modified, you are prompted to save the profile before closing. You can change this behavior in the settings of WinContig. Click the arrow to open a menu so that you can open a previously saved profile. You can customize this menu in the settings of WinContig. |

Save profile | Saves the current profile.
The Save profile command displays the Save profile as dialog if this is the first time the profile is being saved. |

Check for errors | Displays the Check disk dialog, which allows you to check the volumes on which listed items are recorded for file system errors. | ||
Analyze | Analyzes all items listed in the upper pane to determinate how fragmented they are. | ||
Defragment | Defragments all items listed in the upper pane.
Click the arrow to open a menu so that you can defragment only selected files in the lower pane. |

Stop | Stops the current operation in progress.
If you select this command and the defragmentation engine is in the middle of a move request, it may take some time to stop a defragmentation session, depending on the settings of WinContig. |

Settings | Displays the Settings dialog, which allows you to configure all the settings of WinContig.
Click the arrow to open a menu so that you can show WinContig always in front of all other windows. |
